For the last several years, JDRF Georgia’s Young Leadership Committee (YLC) has flown under the radar, but has worked tirelessly to raise money for JDRF. Comprised of a diverse group of Atlanta’s young professionals, these volunteers (ages 21-40), attend meetings, network with other professionals (some living with type 1 diabetes and others who are not), and plan one of the Georgia Chapter’s most exciting events…Rock the Cure.

Rock the Cure is an annual Brews and Blues event held at SweetWater Brewery and features live music, complimentary tours and tastings of local brews, great food and exciting raffle prizes. Since its inception in 2007, Rock the Cure has raised more than $400,000 for T1D research.

This year, Rock the Cure will be held on June 6, 2015 at SweetWater Brewery from 7:30pm-11:00pm and features the live music of Saved by the Band, a member of the PleaseRock collective, a family of Atlanta musicians and DJs anchored by the smooth sailors in the Yacht Rock Revue. Popular Atlanta musician Mike Magno will again provide smooth vocals in the in the VIP area.

VIP tickets are $75 and include continuous pour of both beer and wine, food, exclusive access to the VIP lounge in the Reel Room, a SweetWater Brewery tour and early entry starting at 6:30pm. General admission tickets can also be purchased for $50.
